Unfortunately we are seriously lacking in archive footage or photography of the bus station pre 1990's. if anyone has some, or in fact any of the city centre in general, we would much appreciate contact from you.
you can get in touch with me at ruth@theyeatculture.org - the sooner the better would be appreciated!
many thanks
Ruth

whatever you do dave, dont let them get thrown away, either get them scanned now and published on your photobucket account, for all to share, myself, and other people i know would be very interested, or bag them all together, for your next uk visit, and pass them on for one of us to do the scanning, but dont let them get lost whatever you do!

Dave, don't let them be just tossed away, like you and the rest of us will be
Bequeath them to the forum or someone on it and they will be processed propery cos they are obviously wanted....
Be safe!

Doesn't everyone of us older folks still have their collection of 78 rpm, 45 rpm, and 33 1/3 rpm records packed up and stacked somewhere, I know we do. Probably collectors item's now eh ? Something else that will probably get dumped with us as Bull says.
With regard to the slides, I think we already threw out the projector and the screen. I can't imagine going through about 25 years worth of slides by hand...think about it.

It might be a challenge, but would be worth it in the end, all your images digitized, and available to view with the click of a mouse, no screen no projector etc. Exactly how many slides are you talking about dave?

well, blue, if they are going to end up in the bin you might aswell parcel them up and ship them over here!!!!i used to have a negative scaner, many years ago, labouriously slow, and mighty expensive, as soon as windows xp came out, it became defunct, although i did manage to get it going under xp, it was of no use, all negs had been done, and it is only in the last twelve months, i passed it onto someone who fancied a bash themselves at neg scanning. Today tho, you can pick these neg scanners up for very little, and if i had the need too, i would get a new one.
